Rob Sanchez is the Civics and Social Studies Outreach Specialist at izzit.org®, a non-profit organization that specializes in video-based teaching materials.  Rob came to izzit.org after teaching middle school social studies for twenty years.  He specialized in U.S. History, Texas History, and World Cultures and – throughout his career – has held leadership roles such as department team leader and social studies instructional coach.  Rob received an ASPIRE grant in 2013 to attend the esteemed week-long Colonial Williamsburg Teacher Institute and was his school’s first recipient of the Caraway Fund for Social Studies, which allowed him to travel and conduct live lessons from historical sites in Washington D.C. & Pennsylvania, engaging students through Skype and Instagram. His recent endeavors include writing digital curriculum and assessments for 8th-grade U.S. History students and teaching a Master Class to prepare students for their social studies state STAAR exam.  Rob is based in Houston, Texas.
